1. Belt tensioning

Step 1 of 18 (Chapter 9 of 10)
Contents
Comments
This chapter will guide you through calibrating and preparing the printer for its first run. Starting with tensioning the belts:
The left screw adjusts the upper belt.
The right screw adjusts the lower belt.
Double-check that the M3x30 screws in the belt tensioners were lubricated during assembly.
WARNING: Incorrect procedure may result in damage to plastic parts or seizing of screws. Before adjusting the belt tension, read the dedicated article:
Do not forget to come back here after adjusting the belts.

I'm a bit confused here - we haven't powered the machine on yet (that comes in the next steps) but it says to follow the belt tension guide, which says to use a menu option on the LCD to set the belt tension.

Shouldn't that come after the next few steps about how to switch the machine on for the first time?

EDIT: Just skip this step and come back to it later, it's in the wrong order, you can't do this until you've updated the firmware and done the other calibration steps found later in the guide. I think it's a holdover from when the belt tension was set manually, but now it's done via the LCD screen.

I don't know about the end of the chapter, but with the CoreOne+, it definitely should come after the section on upgrading the firmware. Otherwise, you will not be able to use the Belt Tuning Wizard, which is a big help.

This step should be at the end of the chapter, after plugging in,upgrading firmware and doing the other calibrations. Only then you can access the manual belt calibration menu.

I tried waiting and it made the lower belt snap off from behind the extruder during the X-axis test. I think it is necessary to calibrate the belts first using the app, at least somewhat .-.

My 1st printer to assembly. Very easy process as long as you follow the guide step by step (really a no brainer) and have some common sense.

This article is absolute garbage.

The first step says if there is any movement, you need to unscrew the tensionsers

There will always be movement, so you will end up disassembling the tensioner.

What it means is that you need to loosen the tension a bit while you adjust the gantry. You don't keep loosening it, you just don't want the belt tension tight when performing the gantry alignment procedure. I agree it's not that clear though, especially when I'm used to the instructions in this guide being very detailed.
