I have the same problem as Mith, Cura 5.0.0. crashes instant when I pressed the add button to add the printer.
Mith
When selecting the imported printer definition for the Mini in the beta version of Cura 5.0.0 it just crashes for me in windows 10.
The revised path locations for version 5 are here though:
STEP 4: mini.def.json here "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 5.0.0\share\cura\resources\definitions"
STEP 5: meshes go here "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 5.0.0\share\cura\resources\meshes"

Hi. Works fine for me following these instructions. Thansk for sharing

How long ago Mini was launched? I installed Cura 4.13.1 and STILL not updated with Mini model. How incompetent a company can be?Also, the instructions here do not work for Windows, here:STEP 6: Click the Prusa Research and select the desired printer model. > Mini is not showing.Disappointed.Also, why PrusaSlicer does not give me tree support? The PrusaSlicer support option is garbage, defeats the propouse, get in the way and damages the prints so much...Is really that hard?

Hi! PrusaSlicer profiles are maintained regularly. Profiles for MINI/+ are available under PrusaResearch manufacturer in Cura after being imported using the guide above. Unfortunately, Cura is not developed by Prusa so there are only limited options on controlling how it works from Prusa's side. If there are any errors in how PrusaSlicer works, please feel free to report these at https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues

You should do a bit of research before getting on here and trashing a company that doesn't even have a hand in half the stuff you're having problems with. 3D printing isn't quite to the point of plug and play yet. You're going to have to do tuning and optimizations on any machine that you buy, no matter the price point. If you're not wanting to put in the time to learn about these things then you may not be in the right hobby.

Aloha Prusa Team!Could there be an update on this? I would really like to get the profiles for my current i3 Mk3s to work in Cura 4.12.1. However, when I follow your guide and generate a gcode file to print my mk3s says the file is sliced for a different printer.I always get the same error message. Its a shame really. Especially because the only reason I need to use Cura on my Prusa machines is that the Prusa slicer can't handle single wall prints (slices gaps in them all the time) and does not have tree support (which is super important to some designs).Could you please make this happen? THank you for the help!

Hi! Check the new features in the PrusaSlicer 2.4 - there is this 3DLabPrint plane model support, which you might find useful for other single perimeter prints as well.

I'd like to 2nd this request... albeit for the Mini+.  I have tried to switch to PrusaSlicer and find it much harder to use and more difficult to calibrate printers.  There are also many many fewer pre-defined profiles for printers and filaments.

Personally I find it very unweildy to be forced to create new profiles for every little change.  Cura is just much more user friendly.  It also runs much better on Linux (ChromeOS.)  PrusaSlicer 2.4 and 2.4.1 crash regularly.

Thanks.

I have a I3Mk3S with the MMU2S unit. This profile will either force the printer to try to load filament 2, or cause it to reset after mesh levelling.
