This guide describes how to install the Prusa USS Drybox on the Prusa CORE One printer.
The CORE One uses a different spool holder system compared to CORE One+ and CORE One L, therefore the installation procedure differs in mounting and filament routing.
This guide covers mechanical mounting, PTFE routing, and connection to the side filament sensor.
Before starting, make sure the Drybox is fully assembled and loaded with filament. If not, follow the First setup and filament loading (USS Drybox) article.
PTFE tube preparation
For CORE One, the PTFE tube must be cut to 21 cm.
Ensure a clean, straight cut to avoid filament friction or misalignment.
Installation on CORE One
Before mounting the Drybox, the original spool holder must be replaced with a printed Drybox-compatible spool holder.
- Print the required parts for the CORE One Drybox installation, including the Universal Spoolholder and the PTFE Connect, available on Printables - carefully read the printing instructions.
- Remove the original spool holder from the printer by loosening and removing the four M3x8rT screws from inside the printer frame.

- Reuse the removed four M3x8rT screws to install the new printed Universal-puck in the same mounting positions.

- Put the O-ring onto the Spoolholder-static.
- Push the Spoolholder-static into the Puck-universal dock and lock it in by turning it clockwise.

- Unlock the spoolholder from the puck, and place the drybox as shown below. Lock the Drybox with the spoolholder.

- Load the filament into the printer.

- Lock the two adapters together by twisting them in opposite directions.

Note that, as an alternative installation method, it is also possible to remove the PTFE from the side filament sensor with pliers and an Allen key, load the filament, and insert the drybox PTFE tube directly into the side filament sensor to start printing.
