I believe "internal" refers to the vent not being mounted on the cutout at all...

Nope, internal referes to the air inside the enclosure, after it is sealed, that it filtrates that air. The vent you are refering to is for possible upgrades later on down the road.

I found it was easier to install accessories before completing the rest of the enclosure, e.g. jump here after step 34 in section 3.

I am still confused as to the "rear" cutout for the silver PCU which for the instructions is printer with the silver PCU mounted on the left side. The filtration system mounted at the top right side ( step 26)? The hex cut out is not explained anywhere and I don't see how I can use this sheet to have internal air circulation without leakage from the enclosure! I assume it is ok to have high temperature printer with the MMU2 enclosed, so I expect the temp sensor (battery operated) the original LCD mounting and 12VDC PCU should still be operational at enclosure temp settings? I would appreciate some support and suggestions as to my purchase and implementation.
